What is My GP Surgery App?

myGPsurgeryApp is a no code, pre-built app using Glide. This simply means all the hard work has been done for you. Once purchased adapt to your requirements.

What is Glide?

Glide is no code app creator. It takes data from a worksheet and allows you to turn that into an app.

What is the Cost?

You can purchase myGPsurgeryApp through the Glide Template Store.

Are there any on-going costs?

Currently there is no additional fees. Glide offers various pricing plans depending on your requirements. As long as you don't exceed the limits of the free plan this should be suitable.

What if I need additional help?

How do I share my app?

If you have a website you can add a link to your app or add the QR code. If you use a text messaging system simply include the link. Adding the QR code to practice leaflets or posters will help improve uptake.

I've updated my app but the changes aren't showing?

The app should update normally update every 5-10 seconds, so in most cases its less than a minute. You may need to close the app and reopen on your smart device to refresh.

Do I need an Internet connection to use the app?

At the moment your app requires an internet connection to view all the elements.

What if I don't want to use for example the contacts or News Tabs?

Tabs can easily be turned off from within your Glide account. Open the app within Glide. At the top left you see all the tabs for your app. Simply select the eye icon that appears next to the name and toggle on and off. The page is not deleted, just not visible on your mobile etc. This function is useful if you are updating a page and temporarily don't want it to be viewable by patients.

Can I change the icon picture?

Yes. From within your Glide account, Go to Settings, select name and Icon and change as required. However, any installations prior to this change, would have the old information unless the app is uninstalled and reinstalled.

Can I remove the Glide branding?

Yes but you will need to select a new payment plan.
